The Personalities Behind Our Power on the Colorado River
Get to know the jet boats that power our Laughlin-to-Lake Havasu adventures! Meet Gravel Gerty and Loosey Lu—two iconic vessels that deliver unforgettable cruises down the Colorado River.

When you book a jet boat tour with London Bridge Jet Boat Tours, you’re not just reserving a seat—you’re joining a memorable experience powered by one of our two custom-built boats: Gravel Gerty or Loosey Lu.

Both Gravel Gerty and Loosey Lu are custom-designed jet boats, purpose-built for the unique environment of the lower Colorado River. With shallow drafts and powerful engines, they’re made to navigate narrow passages, sandbars, and shifting currents with ease — all while keeping guests safe and comfortable.
With open sides and unobstructed views, both boats are perfect for capturing stunning shots of the Colorado River, Topock Gorge, wildlife, and — of course — the legendary London Bridge. Each boat brings its own charm to the journey, and while guests can’t request a specific vessel, rest assured: both boats deliver the same smooth ride, scenic views, and signature service you’ve come to expect from us. Every detail, from the padded bench seating to the shade canopy and cooling misters, is designed with passenger comfort in mind — especially during warmer months on the river.

🛥️ Meet Gravel Gerty
Capacity: Up to 44 passengers
Vibe: Classic, steady, and full of character
Top Speed: Equipped with two Scania 650 horsepower V8 motors, and a hydrofoil, she is swift enough for excitement, smooth enough for sightseeing,
Designed and built with assistance from the previous owner, Captain Joe, to include a hydrofoil. A hydrofoil helps a boat reduce drag and increase speed by lifting the boat out of the water. The hydrofoil was made in South Africa by Dr. K.G. Hoppe.
Gravel Gerty is a long-time favorite on the river. Known for her sturdy build and dependable performance, she’s cruised countless guests safely through Topock Gorge and beyond. Named as a tribute to the region’s rugged past, Gerty’s personality reflects the spirit of the Southwest.
Fun Fact: She is named after Gravel Gerty from the Dick Tracy comic book series!
